Design Advocacy Spring Offering
As designers, we shape environments which, in turn, shape us. Many of our individual and collective behaviors are reactions to the places where we spend time.
Students will engage members of a specific environment—the neighborhood of Red Hook—in order to discover how design and creative placemaking can make Red Hook a more livable, walkable, vibrant and enjoyable neighborhood.
Students will benefit from a collaboration with DESIGN/RELIEF, an AIGA/NY initiative focused on demonstrating design’s role in creative placemaking.
